there's a

wreckage
there's a fire
there's a weakness in my love
there's a hunger I can't control.

fed only by fear, this hunger is forever unsatisfied




fear is all-consuming.
it begins to root itself into every thought.
and soon becomes the foundation of our entire belief system.



but, 
fear is really just a consequence of every lie.
so, if you're afraid it's because you're believing a lie.

    hmm.
          maybe that's why Jesus so frequently told people to not be afraid--because we're so good at believing lies.
     
 and maybe that's why Jesus says he is Truth and his Word is Truth, and why he might be
                         so interested in me marinating in what he's saying...

help me to believe You at Your Word.
to believe that Your very presence is what completes me.
